Please interpret these eyesight details?
This child is farsighted with some astigmatism as well. The SPH stands for Sphere and that is either how long or how short the eye is. Since it is wriitten in plus this patient is fasrsighted (short eye) the CYL is cylinder and that is astigmatism. Astigmatism is just the curvature of the cornea. ( most people think this is some kind of disorder, that is not true it just means the cornea is more oval like a football and not round like a basketball. Spectales will help the patient see better because they are so farsighted. 20/20 vision may or may not be able to be achieved depending on the health of the eye or if the child has any underlying eye muscle. issues. Laser vision correction is not for a 3 year old child. It is for someone 21 and above whom has had a stable eye gl prescription for at least 2 years. Stable meaning, no change. If the child does not have any underlying issues with their eyes there is no reason why the patient can not obtain 20/20
