What do you wear to get married @ the courthouse?

What would be appropriate to wear if you are gettign married @ the courthouse? I want to look nice because it is a special day, but over dressing can be just as bad as under dressing. Also what are some other things i can do to make my wedding special even though it will be @ the courthouse?
