Why do individuals compare christ and our father to things that are unrealistic...?

People compare god and Christ to santa claus and things in which we know for facts arent real. Why do people insist on comparing god to things that are myths. The devil gives people excuses and reasons to believe that god does not exist or that he is afar off. The devil does not want us to know just how good god is and so as people we give the devil power over ourselves by believing in his lies, and as long as you do so you will always be blinded from the truth. Pride is blindness to god and the reality that we need him.
