Does anyone else find the time in Mtv's The Hills a little weird? No mention of LC's fashion line?

I've read about Heidi's and Lauren's fashion collections, like at least a month ago, but there was no mention of either in the third season. Also, on Jimmy Kimmel, Lauren tells Jimmey that she has left Teen Vogue and started working at a fashion PR firm, but up until the last episode of this season, there was no sign that Lauren had even left Teen Vogue. What's up with these time discrepancies? If anyone knows, please let me know....Thanks
