Saxophone: Tenor or Alto?

If you're just learning then look for an Alto- they're easy to find and you can often pick one up in the low hundreds. Because they're smaller then can be easier to learn on, unless you've got very large hands. Once you've got your skills down and know you're ready to commit then by all means get a tenor.
